MEDIA PROFESSIONAL & MENTOR

Before formally embarking on my career in Media and Television, I ventured into the entrepreneurial landscape by founding Vizion Entertainment. Under this banner, I curated and produced live shows, including 'The Psalmist Hour' featuring spoken word and music artists.' These experiences broadened my horizon, equipping me with valuable expertise in live event production and management.

"In 2009, my journey in the world of Media and Television commenced with an internship at NBC 7 San Diego. This initial step led to my eventual employment, during which I took on multiple roles as a Camera Operator, Audio Technician, and Server Operator. My responsibilities spanned across news studio productions, sports broadcasts, promotions, and special events/segments departments. For an impressive span of 12 years, I dedicated my talents and passion to NBC 7 San Diego.

While at NBC 7 San Diego, I ventured into independent content creation, birthing 'The Block TV' as a television show and 'The Spotlite' as a web series, both in collaboration with the esteemed Film & Photography Production Studio, EQ Studios. 'The Block TV' made its mark on CW 6 San Diego during its first season, while 'The Spotlite' brought a vibrant portrayal of film, fashion, and music within San Diego County through 10 engaging web segments.

In 2018, I proudly assumed the role of Co-Owner at EQ Studios, a platform that welcomed esteemed companies such as Coca-Cola, Southwest Airlines, Vice Television, and a host of other industry giants. EQ Studios also became a hub for producing captivating content for Porsche, Jaguar/Land Rover, UNCF, San Diego Fashion Week, and Rock'n Robin Productions, the brainchild of ABC and ESPN's Robin Roberts, among others.

My journey as Co-Owner at EQ Studios coincided with my recognition as an Award-Winning Filmmaker. I had the privilege of co-producing two impactful documentaries: 'Rebound,' featured on PBS, and 'Sounds of the Sidewalk: A Journey of Goodbye,' a multi-award winner at various film festivals, including the prestigious 'Best Documentary' award in its category at the New York City International Film Festival.

Throughout my career, I've donned many hats, including Director, Producer, Co-Producer, Line Producer, Production Manager, Editor, Audio Engineer/Technician, Camera Operator, Production Assistant, Teleprompter Operator, and Floor Manager.

In addition to my professional pursuits, I've been fortunate to contribute to various industry organizations. My affiliations include being a member of the San Diego Association of Black Journalists (SDABJ), serving on the Board of Governors at the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) PSW, membership with the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA), and active participation on the advisory committee for the GI Film Festival.

PORSCHE SAN DIEGO

Director & Producer

Served as the Director and Producer for various video projects for Porsche San Diego, including a short film for Porsche's international video contest.

I served this role for four years with the company.

THE BLOCK TV

Creator, Executive Producer, Director, and Camera Operator

The Block TV is a television show that features inspiring stories in the areas of Business, Entertainment, Arts, Technology, & Sports. The show aired on CW 6 San Diego.

My roles included Creator, Executive Producer, Director, and camera operator. I also edited video and cleaned up audio in post-production.

THE SPOTLITE

Co-Creator, Executive Producer, and Director

The Spotlite is a web series that features change-makers in Film, Fashion, and Music in San Diego, CA. Episodes were featured on YouTube.

I was the Co-Creator, Executive Producer, and Director of the show. In addition to these roles, I also edited content in post-production. This includes color correction and audio edits.

THRIVER THURSDAY

Director of Photography and Camera Operator

Thriver Thursday is the creation of ABC and ESPN host Robin Roberts. The series is a new initiative that spotlights “thrivers” – people who persevere, achieve their goals, and even surpass them despite life-altering circumstances.

I held the position of Director of Photography and Camera Operator for the episode featuring Para-Athlete Travis Ricks.

VARIOUS CLIENTS

Designer and Graphic Artist

Worked as a Designer and Graphic Artist creating graphic designs for various clients, from funeral programs to marketing material for businesses and non-profit organizations.

I have worked with editorial, product marketing, social and creative individuals and teams to design marketing print assets.

Social Media Manager

Successfully lead campaigns on social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram. Also assisted the marketing team with developing and implementing social media strategies.

Developed online marketing campaigns to increase followers for personal and business accounts.
